Description of the Genus – Soar & Williamson – British Hydracarina 1929 III p77.
Body dorso ventrally compressed. Skin highly chitinized. Dorsum with a narrow grrove of softer skin close to the body-margin. Capitulum with a short rostrum. Fifth segment ot palpi not chelate. Flexor surface of fourth segment with prominent papillae. Epimera united by their edges fto form one group. Legs short and furnishe with swimming-hairs. Genital plates fixed and sickle-shaped, on the inner edge three acetabula.
